First off I want to say thank you, to all of you, for helping us get to episode 50. This is a huge milestone for us, two years in the making, and we’re just getting started. Having you on this journey with us has been one of the unexpected great joys and honors of my life thus far. We’re going to keep going, and I hope you come along with us for the road to 100!
OK, I want to introduce our guest on this milestone episode:Bree Wasylenko seems to almost…embody creativity. Made famous by her work on The Next Step as Miss Kate, as well has her run on So You Think You Can Dance, Canada. She effortlessly weaves her way between being a world class actor (The Next Step, Star Trek Discovery, Boston Blue), choreographer (Netflix’s Painkiller and You’re So Not Invited to my Bat Mitzvah), and as a touring dancer and teacher. I know Bree well, and watching her weave from one passion to the other while experiencing life, feeling big, craving inspiration and newness, and being a role model for young actor/dancers all over the world — is inspiring and humbling. It’s an honor to have her as our guest for Episode 50 of The DNA Podcast. I can’t wait for you all to get to know her over this chat.

Conni Miu is one of the incredibly talented actors on the hit Fox/Sony series “Doc”, where she plays Nurse Liz. She also happens to be a castmate of mine on the very same show. One of the things that I admire most about Conni is the seriousness and ambition she brings to her work that is present in everything she does, from her work on Sophia Coppola’s “Priscilla”, to “The Boys” and the work that she produces (“The Butchers”). She is allergic to becoming comfortable and the second she feels the pull of stagnation, she reaches for a new challenge. She’s clear, grounded, and bets on herself with zero hesitation. Erika Prevost is one of the stars of the hit series “St. Pierre”—a unique and highly entertaining police drama where she plays the charismatic and complex Patty Montclair-Ito (among many other credits including “The Boys”, “Assassin’s Creed Shadows”, and “The Next Step” to name a few). This was one of those episodes where I was blessed to meet an actor for the first time and dive right into the deep end of their world view, values, and the journey that has gotten them where they are. Erika is somehow both extremely practical and driven, as well as spiritual and grounded in both herself and her healing and growth journey. She’s a bonkers talented actor who has put in a tremendous amount of thought and time into her growth as a person—knowing that as she grows, so does her capacity for success. I loved this episode, Erika is the real deal and I learned so much from her. This industry requires growth of self as much as ability, and I can’t think of a better conversation for you to hear to inspire you to look within and be inspired.
